Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) Sets Hearing Date for 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Final Case
Lausanne, July 24, 2026 – The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) confirms that a hearing has been scheduled in the case brought by the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) against the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) concerning the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final in Morocco.
The hearing will take place on October 8, 2026, at the CAS headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The FSF filed its appeal with the Court on March 25, 2026, seeking to overturn CAF’s decision that Senegal had forfeited the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final and awarded Morocco a 3-0 victory.
The appeal seeks to overturn CAF’s decision to award Morocco a 3-0 win in the final. The appeal also requests that the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) rule that the Senegalese Football Federation is the winner of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The parties did not agree to expedite the proceedings, and therefore the case will proceed according to the standard timetable set out in the CAS Rules of Procedure. The hearing date was set after consultation with the parties, who also did not request that the hearing be public.
Accordingly, the hearing will be held behind closed doors.
Following the hearing, the arbitration panel will begin its deliberations. At this stage, the CAS cannot specify when it will issue its final decision, but it confirms that the decision will not be issued on the day of the hearing.

لوزان، 24 يوليو 2026 – تؤكد محكمة التحكيم الرياضية (CAS) أنه تم تحديد موعد جلسة الاستماع في الدعوى المقامة من الاتحاد السنغالي لكرة القدم (FSF) ضد الاتحاد الأفريقي لكرة القدم (CAF) والجامعة الملكية المغربية لكرة القدم (FRMF)، بشأن نهائي كأس الأمم الأفريقية – المغرب 2025.
وستُعقد جلسة الاستماع في 8 أكتوبر 2026، بمقر محكمة التحكيم الرياضية في لوزان، سويسرا.
وكان الاتحاد السنغالي لكرة القدم قد سجل استئنافه لدى المحكمة في 25 مارس 2026، ويطلب فيه إلغاء قرار الاتحاد الأفريقي لكرة القدم الذي اعتبر أن المنتخب السنغالي خسر نهائي كأس الأمم الأفريقية 2025 بالانسحاب، مع اعتماد المنتخب المغربي فائزًا بالمباراة بنتيجة 3-0.
كما يطلب الاستئناف من محكمة التحكيم الرياضية أن تقرر أن الاتحاد السنغالي لكرة القدم هو الفائز بكأس الأمم الأفريقية 2025.
ولم يتفق الأطراف على تسريع إجراءات هذه القضية، ولذلك فإنها ستسير وفق الجدول الزمني المعتاد المنصوص عليه في قواعد الإجراءات الخاصة بمحكمة التحكيم الرياضية. وقد تم تحديد موعد جلسة الاستماع بعد التشاور مع الأطراف، الذين لم يطلبوا أيضًا أن تكون الجلسة علنية.
وبناءً على ذلك، ستُعقد الجلسة خلف أبواب مغلقة.
وبعد انتهاء جلسة الاستماع، ستبدأ هيئة التحكيم مداولاتها. وفي هذه المرحلة، لا تستطيع محكمة التحكيم الرياضية تحديد موعد إصدار القرار النهائي، لكنها تؤكد أنه لن يصدر في يوم انعقاد الجلسة.
